IMB Missionary Appointment Service on July 12, 2009 @ 6:00

Urbancrest Baptist Church is honored to host the International
Mission Board's Missionary Appointment Service. This service will
feature a challenging message by International Mission Board
President Jerry Rankin along with the encouraging testimonies of
those being appointed.

Volunteers Needed to Pack Challenge Newspapers
Volunteers are needed this Thursday, June 4 to pack up the new
shipment of Challenge Newspapers. We will meet at the Resource
Center at 3:30 p.m. This should only take a couple of hours, if we
get enough workers. If you are available and willing to help, please
call Karen Tuttle at 932-6373 or 404-2302. Thanks for your
willingness to be a part of this ministry.
Collecting Toiletries for Paintsville
The Paintsville Ministry Team is collecting toiletries to
distribute to the folks in Paintsville in July. We will be setting
up tubs in the church lobby next Sunday and you can put your
donations there. The items we will be collecting are: brushes,
combs, shampoo, conditioner, bath wash, soap, toothpaste,
toothbrushes, sun screen, body lotions, baby lotions and sun
screens, deodorants. These and other toiletries will be appreciated.
We need both men and women items. Thanks so much!

What a wonderful day we live in to serve the Lord! God has opened the doors of opportunity to serve Him literally all over the world. We have more resources than ever in Christian history to reach the nations. More people have available vacation time, and technology is certainly on our side to go to the most remote parts of the world to win the lost for Christ. The harvest is indeed plentiful: 1.4 billion people living in over 3,600 people groups have never heard the name of Jesus Christ. The Word of God is clear that, "salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men in which we must be saved." Acts4:16 NIV
Urbancrest Baptist Church is passionately seeking to be obedient to the Great Commission Christ gave to us in Matthew 28:19 to "go into all the world." Our desire is to express His love personally to the peoples of the world that He may be glorified throughout His Creation. Thank you for co-laboring with us to bring in His harvest!
