Costa Rica - July 2008
From July 21st until the 29th, a team
of 8 individuals from Urbancrest Baptist Church participated in
mission work in San Jose and Cartago Costa Rica.
Israel - May 2008
Urbancrest’s first Teaching Tour of
Israel took place in May. Tour group members were delighted to be
there during the country’s 60th anniversary. Although booked as a
tour group, guests were also able to prayer walk, act as
hosts/hostesses for concerts and meet with an Arab Israeli pastor
who has planted seven house churches in the last two years.
Peru - October 2007
On August 17, 2007 an earthquake that
registered 8.0 on the Richter scale devastated the coastal area of
the Peru. The area is mainly dessert. Needless to say, many homes
were destroyed and families devastated. The City of Ica had only one
Baptist church and two of its four walls came crashing down.
